Coatyc is in beta. The Free plan is free to use during the beta; Coatyc+ is an optional paid subscription (see section 6). Features can change, break or be removed, and data may occasionally be lost or reset. We work to keep it reliable but cannot promise uninterrupted availability. Please report problems you find.

3. Your account

You must be at least 16 years old. If you are under 18, you need the consent of your parents or legal guardian to buy Coatyc+.
Give correct information and keep your login secret. You are responsible for activity in your account.
You can delete your account at any time in Settings, Privacy & security.

4. Training advice is not medical advice

Coatyc and its AI coach give general training suggestions. They are not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Talk to a doctor before starting or changing a training programme, especially if you have a health condition, are injured, are pregnant or are returning from illness. Stop training and seek help if you feel pain, dizziness, chest discomfort or unusual breathlessness. You decide yourself whether and how to follow a suggestion. See “Health and medical disclaimer”.

5. The AI coach

The coach is an AI and can be wrong. Check suggestions against how you feel and, where it matters, with a professional. See “AI Coach transparency”.

6. Coatyc+ subscription

Coatyc has a Free plan and an optional paid plan, Coatyc+. Coatyc+ gives you more coach requests a day, the Balanced and High coach effort, training plans longer than 30 days and a coach review after every finished workout. What each plan includes is shown in the app and can change; we tell you in the app before a change affects a subscription you already have.

Coatyc+ is an auto-renewing subscription, billed monthly or yearly, and is bought only through the Apple App Store. The price is shown in the app in your local currency before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. You manage and cancel your subscription in the iOS Settings under your Apple ID, Subscriptions, or in Profile, Subscription in the app. Deleting the app or your Coatyc account does not cancel the subscription: cancel it with Apple.

If a free trial is offered, it is shown on the purchase screen. When the trial ends, your subscription starts and the price is charged unless you cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends. A free trial is available once per Apple ID. Offer codes are redeemed through the App Store.

The price of Coatyc+ includes VAT. The contract is made when you confirm the purchase in the App Store. It runs for the billing period you chose (a month or a year) and renews until you cancel; you can cancel at any time, with effect at the end of the current period.

As a consumer you have a statutory right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days without giving a reason. Apple processes withdrawals and refunds for App Store purchases (reportaproblem.apple.com), and you can also write to us. If you ask for Coatyc+ to start straight away, the right of withdrawal can end earlier, as the law provides. If a subscription ends or is refunded, your account returns to the Free plan: your plan, history and coach memory stay.

7. Connected services

You can connect Apple Health, WHOOP, Strava and Wahoo. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to your use of them. We are not responsible for their services. Coatyc is independent and not endorsed by those companies. Apple’s standard licence agreement for licensed applications (Apple’s Standard EULA) applies to the app in addition to these terms.

8. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service, try to break or probe its security, overload it or access other people’s data.
Do not use the coach to generate unlawful content or to harm others.
Do not copy, resell or reverse engineer the app beyond what the law allows.

9. Your content

You keep the rights to what you enter (such as notes and chat messages). You allow us to process it to run the app for you, as described in the privacy policy.

10. Liability

We are liable without limit for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, for fraudulently concealed defects, for qualities we have guaranteed, and where the law makes liability mandatory (for example under the Product Liability Act or for claims under Art. 82 GDPR).

For slightly negligent breach of an obligation that is essential to the contract (one whose fulfilment makes proper performance possible and on which you can rely), our liability is limited to the damage that is typical for this kind of contract and foreseeable when it was made. For other slightly negligent breaches we are not liable. Your statutory rights as a consumer stay unaffected.

11. Changes and ending

We may change the app, its features and the limits of the plans where there is a valid reason, for example new features, technical progress, security, legal changes or changes of the services we rely on. If a change affects how you can use Coatyc+ more than only slightly, we tell you in good time before it takes effect, in the app or by e-mail, clearly and with the date. You can then end Coatyc+ free of charge within 30 days of the notice or of the change, whichever is later (§ 327r BGB).

We change these terms only with your agreement. We ask for it in the app. If you do not agree, the earlier terms keep applying to the existing contract as far as the law allows, and you can delete your account at any time.

You can end the Free plan at any time by deleting your account. We may end the beta or the Free plan with reasonable notice, and suspend or end an account that seriously breaks these terms. A paid Coatyc+ subscription is ended by us only for good cause or at the end of the current period, with notice.

12. Law and disputes

German law applies. If you are a consumer, mandatory consumer protection of the country where you live stays in force. We are not obliged and not willing to take part in dispute resolution before a consumer arbitration board.

If a provision is invalid, the rest stays valid.
