Our infrastructure
Supabase, data centre in Frankfurt am Main, Germany (EU): account, profile, plan, chats, synced health and workout data, the beta waiting list, server functions.
Resend (Resend, Inc., United States): sends the one-time codes for sign-up and password reset and the mails of the beta list. It receives the recipient’s e-mail address (for the beta list also the first name) and the content of the mail. Open and click tracking is off.
Framer (Framer B.V., Netherlands): hosts this website and delivers it through its content delivery network. It processes the technical connection data of your visit (IP address, time, page requested). The website is not hosted in Germany; only the app backend above is.
AI and voice
OpenRouter (routes requests to the company that runs the language model, a DeepSeek model): your coach chat messages and the relevant profile, plan and health context, to generate coach replies, first plans, workout reviews and the Coach page note. A second model of the same family takes over if the main one is not reachable.
Web search: only when you ask the coach to search the web, the search terms are sent to a search service through OpenRouter.
ElevenLabs through OpenRouter: only the text to be read aloud, and only if you use the spoken coach.
Apps you connect (optional)
Apple Health: read on your device for the data types you allow (for example heart rate, HRV, sleep, weight, workouts). Stored in your account.
WHOOP: recovery, sleep, strain, workouts and your body measurements (height, weight, maximum heart rate), read through WHOOP’s API.
Strava: activities you recorded, plus your profile (weight, FTP and, if you have one, your profile photo, which we copy to your Coatyc profile), read through Strava’s API.
Wahoo: workouts and your profile (height, weight) read from Wahoo. If you allow planned-workout sync, your planned cycling and running sessions are written to your Wahoo calendar.
You can disconnect any of them in Settings, Connected apps. That removes our access.
Apple
App Store and TestFlight distribution, and the iOS notification and Face ID features, are provided by Apple.
Coatyc+ purchases, payments and renewals run through the App Store. We receive signed subscription data (product, status, end date) and never your payment details.
What we do not use
No advertising, no tracking across apps, no analytics or crash-reporting services, no sale of data.
